Working in sail yachts means being a little more laid back with guests and friendly people. They just are there for the experience of sailing and probably to get a few selfies. You can interact with guests and in a less formal way. However, motor yachts that are there for the destination, who are usually the owners, are more likely to want to be treated as kings. They don’t interact much and are always very cranky. You need to service them all the time.

Private yachts are owned privately and they pay a little less. However, they allow you to use their stuff when they are not around; they’ll also give you plenty of perks and will try everything to keep you around if they like you. They are pretty laid back and will usually interact with the crew too. Charter sails will pay a lot more. We’re talking $150,000-$350,000 a week! You work more, they are strict but there is a lot of money and sometimes luxury too
As much fun working in a yacht may seem, it requires much hard work to actually score the job and then you make some sacrifices!
